Huge news for children and families!

Last night, both the House and Senate passed another Continuing Resolution that included a government spending deal that included a $5.8 billion increase for the Child Care and Development Block Grant over two years.

Congress voted to approve the largest increase in federal child care funding in history!

The agreement will allow the Federal Government will stay open until March 23 allowing time for the House and the Senate Appropriations panels to craft a massive $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill that will fund federal agencies until September 30.

NICCA will be developing talking points for our friends and memberships to push for an increased Tribal set aside. We will need your help! Next week, we will send out information about contacting your Congressional leaders and it will be critical for you -- your providers, your families, your leaders -- to have your voice heard to make sure that Tribes are specifically included in this increase.

If you would like more information about the Congressional vote, you can read more here.
